Jungle Pundits operates junglepundits.com and provides Amazon advertising and marketplace management services to consumer brands. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

If you use this website or work with us, this policy applies to you. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain terms.

Who we are

Jungle Pundits is an Amazon advertising practice based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, working primarily with brands in the United States. You can reach us at onieque@junglepundits.com.

What we collect

When you contact us. If you fill in a form or email us, we collect your name, email address, company or brand name, your Amazon storefront address if you provide it, and whatever you write in your message.

When you browse. Our host records standard technical information: your IP address, browser type and version, which pages you opened, when you visited, and how long you stayed. This is aggregate traffic data and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Cookies. Small files stored by your browser. We use them to understand which pages get read and to keep the site working properly. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser settings and the site will still function, though some parts may behave differently.

When we contact you first. We research brands selling on Amazon and reach out about specific things we have noticed in public data. In those cases we hold your name, business email address, company, and role. We explain where that came from in the section below.

Client account data, which we treat as the most sensitive thing we hold

When you engage us, you may grant us access to your Amazon Advertising or Seller Central account. That access lets us see advertising performance, search term reports, sales figures, inventory positions and other commercial data about your business.

We want to be exact about this:

  • We use that data only to deliver the work you have hired us to do.

  • We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside our engagement with you.

  • We do not use it to benefit another client, including a competitor of yours.

  • Access ends when the engagement ends. You can revoke it yourself at any time in your Amazon account, and you do not need our permission to do so.

  • We are bound by Amazon’s own data policies as well as this one.

If you ever want to know exactly what we can see, ask and we will walk you through it.

Why we collect any of it

To answer your enquiry. To deliver the services you have hired us for. To send you work, reports and findings. To understand which parts of this site are useful. And to contact brands where we have found something specific worth telling them about.

Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is either your consent, the performance of our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in offering a relevant business service to a business.

Outbound email, and how we got your address

If we contacted you and you had never heard of us, here is the honest explanation.

We identify brands from publicly available business sources and from what is visible on Amazon itself. Business contact details come from commercial business-data providers. We only use business addresses, never personal ones, and we contact people in a professional capacity about their business.

You can end it immediately. Reply and ask us to stop, or use the unsubscribe link, and we will remove you and not contact you again. We keep a suppression record of that request, because deleting it entirely is what causes someone to be contacted twice.

Service providers we use

We use a small number of third parties to run the business. Each holds only what it needs:

  • Framer, which hosts this website and provides its traffic analytics

  • Instantly, which we use to send and manage outbound email

  • Postiz, which schedules our social media posts

  • Google, for our business listing and search performance tools

These providers may process your information on our behalf. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any purpose.

Anonymised results and case studies

We may use results from our work in anonymised, aggregated form to describe what we do, in case studies, articles and marketing.

The line we hold: no client name, no brand name, no product, and no detail that would let a reader work out who you are, unless you have given us permission in writing. Anonymised means genuinely anonymised. “A mid-size supplement brand” is fine. Anything that identifies you is not, and we will ask first.

How long we keep things

Enquiries that do not become engagements: two years, then deleted. Client records: for the duration of our work together plus seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Suppression records: indefinitely, so we honour an opt-out permanently. Website analytics: as retained by Framer under their own policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, stop using it for marketing, or send you a copy in a portable format. Email onieque@junglepundits.com and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you comparable ones, including the right to know whether your information is sold. Ours is not, to anyone. We do not charge you for exercising any of this and we will not treat you differently for doing so.

Information crossing borders

We operate from Jamaica and most of our clients are in the United States, so your information will be handled in both countries, and by service providers in others. Data protection law differs between them. By working with us you accept that transfer. Where we can put safeguards in place with a provider, we do.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and password management to protect what we hold, and we keep client account access limited to what the work requires.

We will not claim more than that. No system is completely secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and directly rather than burying it.

Links to other websites

This site links to places we do not control. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy governs, not ours. It is worth reading theirs.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. It is not aimed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We will update this policy as the business changes. The revised version will appear here with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly rather than left for you to notice.
